We are happy to announce our partnership with the take away giant, Just Eat. Very soon, residents of Copenhagen will not even have to go to the streets to get Argentine street food. They will have empanadas delivered to their door.
Delivery of empanadas for the first time in Copenhagen
We often receive a call from customers; “where I you? I’m really in a need for empanadas!”. We’re happy to say that no matter where we are, empanadas lovers don’t have to drive around town to find us. They can sit home and have them delivered right to their doors. Being empanadas lovers ourselves, we’ve looked for empanadas in Copenhagen for many years, and we’ve never found this option. As such, this is the first time Copenhageners are able to get authentic homemade Argentine empanadas, or any type of empanada really, delivered to their homes.
Introducing ‘Una Docena‘ – a dozen empanadas (12 pieces)
While introducing the flexibility of home delivery, we also introduce a word that is consistently linked to empanadas in Latin America; “una docena”. Una docena (et dusin, in Danish), or a dozen in English, means 12 – which is exactly what it means in a context of empanadas. You usually buy a box of 12 to share with friends and family. This is very much a cultural thing that Chela Empanadas wants to bring to Denmark. Now, it’s possible to order a box of empanadas and share it for an easy and delicious dinner with friends.
Another new highlights to the menu is the ChariTea mate, that is very similar to the cold version of the Argentine tea, mate (cold version called tereré). Its unique taste of the Argentine tea herb is clear, but not exaggerated. For both people familiar with mate already and those who haven’t tried, we recommend choosing it as a free drinks choice in the menu.
Still accessible in the streets
Despite doing delivery through Just Eat, the food truck is, of course, still accessible in the Copenhagen street landscape and you can visit us both on weekdays during opening ours (see Facebook posts and Just Eat opening hours) and at street food festivals and many other places.
We can’t wait to spread the Argentine spirit right to your door step and see you in the streets.
